The first Sin City movie was mind blowingly awesome for fans of the books. It has scenes which were pulled straight from Frank Millers books and a kick ass cast but left fans wanting the rest of the series turned into a sequel.
Although the material left unused from the books would make an amazing movie for fans it wouldn’t be anywhere as good as the first movie which took all the best bits. Although the seventh book could probably make a pretty decent movie on it’s own.
The sequel has had a few people work on the screen play and to get it right Frank Miller is even topping up the comic series with a new book which features more Nancy called The Long, Bad Night.
From recent interviews Frank Millers Screenplay is almost complete and William Monahan (The Departed) is adding finishing touches to the script.
Although the movie has been rumored for years it really need to get made now. Frank Millers legendary career could be at stake with the way critics have taken to his recent comics.
All-Star Batman and Robin to old school fans it was one of the best Batman TPB so far but to many it wasn’t the Batman they felt familiar with now it’s in comic limbo. And his most recent offering Holy Terror was… well lets just leave that at is was a bit messy with the numerous rewrites, edits and nobody telling Frank it needs a bit more of an actual story.
