The new Spider-man No Way home trailer hit and confirmed a lot of rumors about the movie, some rumors like the original Doc Oc coming back which was a strong one since it came from an interview with the actor but also others with less weight behind them such as Green Goblin coming back.
Now we’ve seen the trailer and we know Doc Oc is back, be it a bad guy or a good guy we don’t know yet. But him along with Green Goblin, Elctro looking likely it leaves me wondering why three enemies. Sony has wanted to do the Sinister Six for so long and it looks like this could be the opportunity.
The Sinister Six could be a combination of just about any six enemies so who could it be?
Doc Oc – He’s 100% confirmed to be in the movie.
Electro – Jamie Fox was in talks to return for the movie and with that lightning coming from the power pylon it looks more than likely.
Green Goblin – With his bomb appearing in the trailer he’s got to be a good contender for the Sinister Six.
Lizard – Some fans are convinced he’s in the trailer thanks to a shadowy character in a corner which looks possible.
Sandman – Another rumor as many fans think a big cloud of sand in the trailer could be him, it’s not confirmed but again possible.
Mr. Negative – During the trailer we see Peter running through a cafeteria which looks like. a school but we can see a F.E.A.S.T. poster up in the background. This could be some sort of easter egg but could nod to Negatives involvement.
Mysterio – Is he actually dead, we don’t know for sure, anything could happen with the master of illusion.
Venom (Tom Hardy) – Following on from the post-credits scene of Venom 2 it’s more than likely he will appear at some point.
Another Venom – At this point, it looks very likely we will see Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield show up in the movie. I think three Spider-men might be too much for one movie, what if one of them turned into Venom and didn’t turn back.
Rhino – We haven’t seen any evidence of his involvement yet but there is a case for it. The last time we saw Doc Oc he was fighting Peter and the one from this trailer looks like he hasn’t aged and been brought in right after that fight. The last time we saw Andrew Garfield he was fighting Rhino at the end of his second movie. If that’s the point where he gets sucked into the MCU there is a chance he’s brought in Rhino who he was last seen fighting.
With these mentioned and the fact they could introduce any number of new villains, it stands likely that we could see a Sinister Six appear in the new Spider-man No Way Home movie coming out in December.
