Was that Brainiac at the end of the BvS Ultimate edition

The Batman Vs Superman Ultimate edition has been released on DVD and Blu-ray and although it does answer a few of the old questions it also leaves us with some major new ones. One of them is what was Lex up to at the end of the movie before he gets arrested.

There are a lot of similarities between the Avengers movies and the Justice League way beyond just assembling previously at war heroes. In the upcoming Avengers and Justice League movies both teams have to fight really strong alien rulers and it looks like where Thanos is looking for his infinity gems we see Darkseid looking for his similarly powerful mother boxes.

In the Ultimate edition of BvS we see an extra clip of Lex Luthor in the same genetic soup he used to create Doomsday, this time he is in the hot tub with a demonic looking robot. Although it doesn’t look a lot like any Brainiac we know, it does look to be some sort of artificial life also it’s origin looks to be a Kryptonian ship. Both good indication that this cyborg demon could in fact be Brainiac in the Justice League movies.

The three Mother Boxes look interesting too, we saw one used to construct a new body for Cyborg earlier in the movie, just how many more are there on Earth?

It could be that this mysterious demon is just some sort of projection from the ship of an alien on Apokolips either way it will likely show up in one of the upcoming DC movies.
