The first decent trailer for Batman vs Superman has been released and shows off some amazing dialogue and action from the movie. From what we have seen of the movie so far it looked like a much darker movie but this latest trailer shows a lighter side to the movie and even some comedy.
From all the rumours we’ve heard about the movie like Batman having a robot Bat army and Doomsday being a mutated General Zod it looks like most of them seem to be true. Where most comic book movies try to throw curve balls and surprise fans it looks like the take on this movie is to just give the fans everything they speculated and wanted from the movie.
The trailer does seem to have had some criticism though as a lot of people think its just full of spoilers and have given away too much of the story. Personally I think this trailer is just a teaser and touches just the tip of the iceberg of epic events the movie will cover. The main reasons for this is that we still haven;t seen Aquaman or what happened with Robin. Also it’s directed by Zack Snyder who loves to deliver an unexpected ending. He even changed the end of Watchmen to make something new.
Being a fan of the comics I can see the inspiration behind Ben Affleck’s Batman and Henry Cavills Superman but as for Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor I don’t know which source material they used to base that take on Lex. I’m not saying it’s a bad take on Superman’s arch nemesis but they tried to do something new with Kevin Spacey and it just didn’t work.
