The Gotham TV series being produced by Fox will be set in a pre Batman Gotham City and follow a young Jim Gordon and a young Bruce Wayne.

The series is set to air in 2015 and run for 22 episodes in the first series and probably only.

Gotham will make good use of a whole array of Batman villains and feature the origins of classic Batman bad guys like the Penguin and the Riddler.

The series will also be independant from all other TV series and the movie incarnations of the DC universe.
