"A must visit toy store if you visit Amsterdam"
/5 Reviewed by Adi MursecAs for cities to visit in Europe Amsterdam has to be towards the top of the list. It’s full of culture, museums, art, night life and home to one of the most well stocked toy shops you will visit.
A Space oddity is one of the coolest shops in Europe if you’re into vintage or collectable toys. The they have regular shipments from Japan with the latest Gundam’s and other anime related toys all sold next to new and second hand vintage toys.
The store it’s self is a short walk from the main train station and a stones throw from one of Amsterdam’s main tourist attractions the Anne Frank museum. The first time I found this store I walked around Amsterdam and got lost a few times but it was well worth searching for. It’s a small store but usually stacked to the roof with with rare and import toys.
The store has three small floors which make good use of the space and you are guaranteed to find something to interest you. The selection of new and old toys is very unique as the store owners really know their stuff. From Sci-Fi to Anime the store pretty much has everything and is great to visit even if you just want to browse.
The main toy lines covered in A Space Oddity are things like Star Wars, Transformers, Gundam and a lot of stuff in-between.
