It was almost too good to be true, the fact a comic book could produce a six movie franchise but Sam Raimi had the guts to try with Spider-man 4. He had a lot of passion for the movies but it wasn’t enough after the poor success of the second and third Spidy movies.
The news that Spider-man 4 was cancelled came from a few sources but one of the most official came from Sony’s Twitter account it was short but gave more than enough information to the fans.
Spider-Man: Summer 2012: Peter Parker is going back to high school when the next Spider-Man hits theaters in the summer of 2012.
The revamp will be based on a script by James Vanderbilt “which will get personal with Peter Parker and focuses on a teenager grappling with both contemporary human problems and amazing super-human crises.”
The new movie is set for a summer 2012 release and will feature a whole new cast. At the moment not much is known about the new film but hopefully this will push DC to re start the Superman movie franchise sooner than later.
