The new Spider-man reboot is probably going to break all the records when it’s released. I can’t think of a more universally anticipated movie than a the long awaited Spider-man movie featuring Iron Man and Michael Keaton as the Vulture.
The movie features a whole new cast and an original angle on one of Marvels most loved characters. The main difference between this one and the others is the cooperation between Sony and Marvel as they finally allow their movies to cross over. I love how they managed to fit the Avengers reference in the trailer.
From the trailer it looks like they are going at a slow introductory pace to setup the new world, we get a taste of where Peter Parker is now in life as this one in set while he’s still in school.
The rest of the cast look a lot younger than their counterparts in previous movies, this might be to give the franchise more shelf life as in ten years when they are considering a fourth or fifth movie they will all still be pretty young.
Choosing the Vulture for the main villain is a wise move, it’s more about the actor for this one. Bringing in one of the most definitive Batman actors to play the Vulture shows they are serious about these movies. I can’t wait to see what they have planned for the next few movies.
