Gwyneth Paltrow is back for Avengers as Pepper Potts

After a few months of sporadic Avengers movie news it looks like we may have a surprise casting late in production. Earlier this year when the movie was in early production before Sam’s script was stolen Gwyneth Paltrow said she had not been asked to appear in the Avengers movie.

Thanks to the latest Avengers trailer this time from Japan we have even more previously unseen scenes. One clip features everyones second favorite red head in the Marvel Universe Pepper Potts.

A few months ago in an interview Paltrow confirmed that at the time of filming she had not been asked to appear in the Avengers movie but Thor co start Natalie Portman had. So far we haven’t seen any clips of Portman on set but it looks like the whole team will be back for the movie.

The turn in events is likely to help tie together the events of the Avengers movie and the just begun production Iron Man 3 movie which is out next year. What part Pepper Potts will play will all be revealed this May 4th when the Avengers movie is released.
