Comics Shipping this week – Wednesday 20th of March 2013

DC comics are releasing another massive collection in hard back. This time it’s Superman Death And Return Of Superman Omnibus which will retail at $99 for 748 pages of DC comics at it’s best. It collects the Death of Superman, Return of Superman and portions of the World without Superman along with a 40 pages of extras. It is one of the most epic collections in terms of events and is a classic comic masterpiece. I don’t think we will see a comic series like this again. The way it was written and paced introducing new and old characters it is an amazing series to read.

Although if you haven’t read it and want to add it to your collection I’d recommend tracking down an original copy or a recent reprint of the books. World without Superman which bridges the two books is a hard one to find but well worth the hunt. It’s 15 years old and some would say it was a turning point for comics. The original with is un Photoshopped lines and coloring is really a must have for any comic collection.
