A week on from the release of the Avengers which is officially the greatest movie ever going off opening weekend sales and general turbo awesomeness levels.
I really think Marvel are missing out big style by not selling comics at the cinema. Most people have to go out of there way to find a comic shop and it would be a great point of sale after a movie.
Either way Marvel have some epic titles out this week to go hand in hand with the Avengers and the Amazing Spider-man movie which will be released in a few weeks time. It’s going to be interesting to compare the DC reboot against Marvels epic comic tie in comics in terms of sales.
The biggest title I think out this week will be Avengers vs X-men, in terms of story and general art work it’s nothing too special but the AR that’s built in is totally revolutionary and brings so much to a comic.
DC comics is still running the Night of the Owel’s cross over throughout the Batman titles and from what was once a big selling point it looks like the cross over comics are now lowering sales as fans jump ship before being pulled in to a comic story which could be $40 a week to keep up with.
