Another epic week for comic releases and one of the best DC comics selections I’ve seen for months.
The first on the most buy list has to be Action Comics Annual #1 to go with the rest of a great run, the reboot really has had a great effect on Action Comics, even though its not as strong through the numbering it’s opened up the series to so many new stories and reintroducing new versions of classic villains. In the Action Comics annual we get the first look at the new Kryptonite Man. I don’t know whats going to happen over the next year for Superman but I have a feeling DC are going to do something big early next year to the man of Steel.
Another cult classic comic from DC is the He-Man reboot and this week we get Masters Of The Universe The Origin Of Skeletor #1 which I can’t wait for. I like this series so much I’m going for the comics, TPBs and anything else DC do. I loved the last origin of Skepetor from the He-man cartoon, the whole Keldor and acid thing was epic-o.
Marvel have got a few decent releases out this week too including Hit-girl #4, I’ve fallen behind on an issue or two but loved how it all started, maybe one of Mark Millars most original chracters holds her own spin-off comic pretty well.
AvX is still going strong, I wish Marvel mentioned at the start it would turn out into such a long series as it would have been easier to catch up. It’s taken me a bit of a surprise and I wish I could have read it all
