Todd Phillips Joker 2 trailer

Since the first Joker movie was released it’s been almost five years for us to finally see plans for the sequel the innovative take on one of the most infamous comic book villains of all time.

The first movie almost came out of nowhere, it didn’t have a massive marketing campaign or even look like it had a lot of backing from the studio but thanks to Todd Philips’ vision and Joaquin Pheonix the movie was a masterpiece.

This take don’t the Joker has thrived when most comic book movie franchises have started to saturate, it’s going to be remembered for decades and hopefully take comic book movies in a whole new direction that focuses on the personalities behind the costumes.

We’ve known for a while that the movie would star Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn but it was probably assumed that it would stick a little more to her original origin where she was a therapist turned psycho from treating the Joker. This trailer eludes to her being in the same asylum and being treated for similar mental health issues. I think this is a really interesting twist which with Todd Philips behind the camera will probably reinvent the character forever.
