Comics Released this week – Wednesday 24th of August 2011

Wipe away the tears, the end of the current DC Universe may be coming to an end after nearly a century of the most epic stories ever told. DC Comics will be rebooting the entire universe over the next few weeks introducing new and old fans to a whole new world of super hero icons.

There is a one shot out this week which is a spin off from Batman Beyond which tells us about what happened to this version of Superman in the distant future as he comes out of retirement to fight one last time in Superman Beyond #0.

There are so many characters, costumes and stories I’m going to miss in the DC Universe but with Jim Lee and Geoff Johns in charge they can’t go too far wrong.

IDW are also launching another True Blood series “French Quarter” this week which is one to watch for any True Blood Fans. I’m not normally a fan of IDW but a very dedicated Truebie tells me the comics are a great cross between the TV series and the books.
