Deadpool Movie

It was all but a hopefull rumor till recently when Ryan Reynolds talked about the Deadpool movie set for release in 2011. The film seems to be getting fast tracked into production while the character is still fresh in our heads after the Wolverine movie.

After Watchmen had such a huge success thanks to staying close to the original source material Marvel seems to following trend and wants to make the Deadpool movie as close to the original material as possible. Although this is great news I don't know how they will get away from all that Weapon XI crazy mofo stuff they have introduced the character to the movie world with.

I guess one way round the Wolverine film would be to make the new movie based on a clone of Weapon XI as there is no chance the Wade Wilson from the Wolverine movie could go on to be a comic book friendly character.

As long as they can make a funny mercenary and try to add a few suitable characters from the comics it should all be good, from early rumors the main supporting characters will be Cable and Domino.
