300: Rise of an Empire

A sequel/prequel to the 2006 Zack Snyder movie which was based on Frank Millers 300 graphic novel. The original movie grossed over $210 million and the next one due out in 2014 is set to do even better.

The first movie was a very impressive feat due to it almost being page for page line for line to the original by Frank Miller. The sequel doesn’t have any public source material so far so just about anything could happen with no restrictions. The comic sequel to 300 has been more than 10 years in the making and will probably be released with the movie.

When it ws first announced it was slated as a clear prequel but at the moment it looks like it will be mainly a sequel following directly after the first movie mixed in with flash backs explaining how Xerxes became the god king of Persia.
